The story
Mellowlet lives by a simple philosophy: “I don't mind.” He rarely gets excited and rarely gets upset, so to most Tamitos he looks like someone who simply doesn't care. He loves his space and the comfort of observing from a distance, usually sitting beneath his favourite tree with his sunglasses on. The truth is very different. He notices everything: he sees Sadlet holding back tears and Grumplet getting frustrated long before either realises it themselves. His silence is not indifference, it is observation, which is exactly why Sadlet seeks out his company; Mellowlet never tells him to stop crying, he simply sits beside him until the storm passes.
